You guys are amazing!

There hasn't been a time during the day when I'm not sitting around, daydreaming about something. But as I was waiting for meeting to start, I looked around the room and just watched people... I realized that each sister is just... so cool.

Maybe it took a while for me to realize that, but in all seriousness, every sister is so unique and brings something new and different to the table and that as an unit, we're so dynamic. And I appreciate everyone's individuality. I know this is starting to sound realllllly cheesy but I legit had an epiphany.

So I just wanted to say three things:

1. Thank you for the GREAT semester! Pat yourself on the back.
2. Also thanks for living with me and letting me gouge into your schedules with hangouts/lunches
3. I kind of love you guys?

If there's someone you can talk to,
Someone no one can replace.
If there's someone you can laugh with,
Till the tears run down your face.
If there's someone you can turn to,
When you need a helping hand.
If there's someone you can count on,
To advise and understand.
If there's someone you can sit with,
And not need to say a word.
If there's someone you can trust,
To keep each confidence she's heard.
If there's someone you can think more of,
As each year comes and goes
There's Sigma Psi Zeta, my sisters
FOH SHOs! HOLLAR!

T.G.I.F.

hooray it is finally Friday!

of course... I've had this weekend mentality since Wednesday after my big exam... But now it is official.

I have a craving for fudge-y brownies. And I don't even really like brownies. Maybe I will bake something new. I've made so many trays of banana crumb cake that I've memorized the recipe. I am amazed that the sisters aren't tired of it yet.

I cannot wait for sister dinner tonight! We have
randomly drawn a sister's name and we are dressing & acting like that sister! :-)

have a happy Friday and a fun weekend. Everyone deserves a break or two, so I encourage you all to go outside and enjoy the transient nice weather. Who knows, tomorrow it may monsoon or snow -- that's Binghamton for you.

Rush!

I love meeting people. No, really. LOVE it. Not to sound like a big stalker/creeper but rush is one of the best times to meet new people. We've had some really fun events this past week for rush:
  • two successful GIMs!
  • eating at our favorite dining halls (Mountainview and Dickinson for the win!)
  • bubble tea, 'nuff said.
  • bowling: scored a 86 and a 71... Kelly beat me :(
  • ballroom dancing--I've got two left feet but I tried my best at the cha-cha, haha.
Exhausted! But having the time of my life. Now to enjoy Missy's banana cake.

tea eggs!

I love the smell of Kelly's tea eggs simmering on the stove! Even though the suite now smells like salty licorice -- to me it is a pleasant aroma :-)

&& the final product tastes even better!

foggy first day

I'm a senior, I shouldn't have 1) an 8:30 class 2) that is 100 level 3) in the second largest lecture hall.

oh well.

I dislike that it is a chilly 60degs at 7am so I have to wear jeans and a cardigan. But then come noon, it will be 88degs and I will be a sweaty mess. Hoorah.

that's Binghamton for you.

at least I had my coffee this morning. Joy.

Good luck everyone!

Random summer stuff

I don't know how but summer passed by sooooo fast. First of all, I want to wish several sisters a happy birthday on this new blog!!!
  • Christina "AniMari" Lee -- Your birthday party was so much fun! The homemade hamburgers were the best thing in the world.
  • Yali "Korie" Lin -- Happy birthday to my Little! Your pledge sisters and I have a surprise waiting for you when you come back to Bing!.
  • Shannon "Midir" Leung -- For being 22 and definitely more beautiful and fabulous.

I hope everybody had fun this summer! I had an eventful summer, one that I learned a lot from. I learned that kids are NOT cute when you have to teach all 25 of them how to swim in the freezing cold water. I learned that sunscreen is a very good bug repellent. I also learned that the 3-floor Forever 21 in Times Square is not a good place to be since you will want to buy almost everything there. But most importantly, I learned that Brazilian food is very good, especially when you get to try it with two of my favorite ppl, Missy "LaVera" Lavides and Amanda "Avalena" Wu!

Although I know going back to Bing means going back to the piles and piles of work waiting for me there, I'm still extremely excited to go back and catch up with everyone! Enjoy the rest of the summer everybody!
